From Presents To Presence - A Guided Meditation With Lou Kelly From Surfside Yoga
As we head into crazy month a.k.a. December, it’s easy to get swept up in the spending, cooking, eating and drinking frenzy. Since I moved to Australia, Christmas has become a laid back affair for our family and usually doesn’t even involve a Christmas Tree. I know, I know, sorry!
I guess that will all change now I have a kid, but we are still ensuring the focus of Christmas is togetherness. Whether that is family or friends, kids or fur-babies, it should be a time focused on experiences and not ‘stuff’.
This is exactly why I grabbed by very good gal pal Lou Kelly, who also happens to be an amazing yoga teacher and mum to adorable Skye, to help us take a few minutes to reset, realign and just remind us all that December doesn’t have to put a strain on your wallet or your mental health.
She has prepared a short, guided meditation, perfect for newbies and aficionados alike. All you need is a quiet spot. It will take 10mins. Then you can step straight back in to the crazy month with a little less stress on your mind.
